Inboxes are currently in private beta and only available to a limited number of users. The response shape might change before GA.Get early access if you’re interested in testing this feature.Once you have access, upgrade your Resend SDK to use the new methods:

A thread is a conversation within an inbox, made up of one or more messages. Threads are returned most recently active first. The after and before cursors take a thread ID, and only one of them can be passed. A date cursor returns a 422 validation_error. A cursor thread that is not in the selected folders returns a 404.

Path Parameters

Query Parameters

string

Comma-separated folders to list: inbox, archive, spam, sent, or trash. A thread is returned when any of its emails is in one of them, so a thread in inbox with an email you sent matches both inbox and sent. Defaults to inbox, or inbox,archive,sent when labels is set. spam and trash are only included when you name them. Repeating the parameter returns a 422 validation_error.

string

Comma-separated label IDs. Returns threads with any of these labels. Up to 50 IDs. An ID that doesn’t exist in the inbox returns a 404. Repeating the parameter returns a 422 validation_error.

boolean

true returns threads where every email is read. false returns threads with at least one unread email. Only the literal values true and false are accepted.

number

Number of threads to return. Default is 20, maximum is 100, minimum is 1.

string

The ID of the last thread on the current page. Returns the next, older page. Must be a thread ID. To filter by date, use Search Threads with start_date.

The ID of the first thread on the current page. Returns the previous, newer page. Cannot be combined with after. Must be a thread ID. To filter by date, use Search Threads with end_date.

To find threads by text, sender, recipient, attachment, or date, use Search Threads.

Folders

Every thread sits in exactly one folder within its inbox.

Folder	Meaning
`inbox`	The default. The thread holds at least one received message.
`archive`	The thread was archived.
`spam`	The thread was marked as spam.
`trash`	The thread is scheduled for deletion in 30 days.
`sent`	Threads whose messages are all outbound.

You can move a thread to inbox, archive, spam, or trash. sent is assigned automatically.

Response Fields

Always list.

boolean

Whether more threads exist beyond this page. Pass the last thread’s id as after to continue.

array

The matching threads, most recently active first.

Hide properties

The ID of the thread.

string | null

The subject of the thread.

string | null

Sender email address. Can include the display name.

string[]

The recipients of the most recent message. For a received email, these are the addresses it was delivered to, not the full To header.

The CC recipients of the most recent message.

string[]

The BCC recipients of the most recent message. Always empty for a received email.

array

The labels attached to the thread, each with an id, name, and color.

number

The number of emails in the thread.

boolean

Whether the most recent message in the thread has an attachment.

Whether the thread has an unsent draft.

boolean

True only when every message in the thread is read.

string

ISO 8601 timestamp when the thread was last active.

string

The folder the thread lives in. One of inbox, archive, spam, sent, or trash.
